The 2nd jojo Fashion show was on Thursday 14th October at Ockenden Manor in aid of Breast Cancer Care. “I decided Ockenden Manor to be the venue for the fashion and Breast Cancer Care as the beneficiary because I had in mind two Cuckfield Ladies Catherine Thurgood and Ulla Allanson who recently lost their battle to Breast Cancer – being here, with friends and acquaintances helping this cause could not be more appropriate”

Fay and Angela from Azari Hair and Beauty, the Dolphin Health Centre Haywards Heath worked on the models hair and make up was done by Karen and Paula from the Make- up Box in Horsham. The Models were Sue Best, Naomi Mackenzie, Jackie Gorringe, Debbie Bucciarel, Karen Budd, Sharon Scott, Lindy Elphic, Shonia Goodman and Lou Beckerman . I was overwhelmed the fashion show was great success and great fun, lively music lots of laughter and all the models really enjoyed the occasion, and received a defining applause from the audience in their final round of the catwalk.

The Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital has an excellent Mammography clinic staffed by specialists who are there to help and provide you with the very best support and care. Maria Daultry Breast Specialist from the Nuffield Health Hospitals came to the fashion show to give a very informative lecture about what women should look for and what we should be doing to help ourselves detect breast cancer. A half price mammography vouchers were donated to the guests by the hospital and Maria Daultry reiterated how important it is to have this 30 minute test. Treatment and care for breast cancer is getting better all the time and overall so much can be done if we can get to treat it in time.
